This Index was set up in order to point out and suggest ways of improving dishonest media. In an era of constant technological innovation and widespread social media engagement, it is easy to get lost in the plethora of news and current affairs. The information revolution has forced the media to find ways to retain audiences’ attention and at times does so on unfair and misguided principles.

Under the auspices of the International Communication Forum and the Next Century Foundation, the Media Credibility Index aims to document the shortcomings of current reporting.
